I got my beta invite to fire eagle a couple days ago and have played around with the site and looked over the API docs. It’s gonna be a pretty cool service soon. You can’t do very much with it yet, but it is going to be a fantastic service once people start building on top of it. I haven’t had time to really build anything just yet, but am going to give it a try soon. If you want an invite, leave a comment and I’ll send you the link.

Tonight was the 3rd Annual Right Media Eugene Holiday Party (1st Annual as Yahoo!) and it was a blast (not quite as legendary as Ludachristmas, but still pretty legendary). A few from the office worked hard to organize a casino night and most of the office showed up for the party.

Above is a picture of the team that built DMX and is now building… (Did you really think I was going to let it out that easily, Valleywag?)

I feel so fortunate to be a part of the best web development team on the planet (note: this title is self-proclaimed, but if there was some sort of competition, I’m sure we’d win it). It’s so motivating to go to work each day and be surrounded by such hard working individuals. It’s been a great year in the office - we released DMX out of beta, we got acquired by Yahoo! and now we’re charged with new and challenging tasks. I can’t wait to see what happens in 2008!
