I had been looking for the Wilco at Wakarusa torrent everyday since I saw them last week. The show has finally surfaced over at etree. I am downloading it now.

Rachel and I are spending the week living at my parents’ house babysitting (we are hoping for some pizza) Scott and Chels while my parents are in Colorado for a vacation. We’ve taken over the table for our computer. That’s right, we couldn’t live the week without our computer so we brought it over.

We took a walk this morning up to Westport to try out Relish, the new hot dog place. It was a hot, hot walk and when we got there we discovered that Relish isn’t open on Sundays. Oh well, we ended up going (driving this time) to D’Bronx at Crown Center and it was okay. To my surprise, there was an antique fair out in the courtyard. I am sure Rachel will have more to say about it on her site.

My dad let me borrow The Da Vinci Code last Sunday and I finally finished it this morning. It was a real page turner. I am pretty excited for the movie to come out, although while reading it I kept picturing Langdon as more of a Wes Clark type than Tom Hanks.

I love uploading photos to flickr and then watching how many times people look at them. A photo of me on the first day of grad school got 0 views, but this one of Rachel making dinner last night got 6! The most recent photos uploaded by everyone are put on their own page.

I didn’t believe it until I saw it with my own eyes this morning. Gross!

Rachel really, really, really wanted me to post a picture. There are some things that just don’t belong on the internet and I believe this is one of them. Nothing is stopping her from adding a picture of ‘their business’ on her site, though.

We are back from all the action and it was so much fun. We got out to Clinton Lake around 7:00 pm and walked around the grounds scoping out the sights for about an hour. We then settled in to Neko Case and she was pretty good. I hadn’t heard anything of hers before, and enjoyed her set. Wilco then came on around 10:30. I can’t remember their entire setlist, but they played a good mix of old Wilco, new Wilco and even some Woody Guthrie stuff for about 90 minutes. I took some photos of the whole experience.

On a side note, while looking to see if anyone put up a torrent of last night’s Wilco set, I found eugenefreaks.com.

We got the following letter on our door from our apartment managers:

If you have a pet, please be considerate and pick up after them. Please take them outside to do their business. If [sic] has come to our attention that some are allowing their pets to do their business in the hallways. This will not be tolerated. Let’s make this a nice environment for everyone.

Yep, this is where we live.
