<p>our pottery barn order is now officially a mess.</p> <p>first a quick recap on previous problems: we used gift certificates and pottery barn lost them (they even acknowledged it) and wouldn&#8217;t give us our money back (which they charged on our debit card). after a few weeks, we finally got our money back.</p><p>next our couch arrived, but it had the wrong cushions inside. we are still waiting for the right ones to be sent to us.</p><p>finally, we have had our tv stand for less than a week and the door has already fallen off. some quality</p><p>i put a letter into their customer support form, we will see what sort of response we get this time.</p><p>one thing that has made us laugh through this whole ordeal happened when the service representative called to schedule our couch delivery. she identified herself as &#8216;jc penny home delivery.&#8217; </p><p>i will keep you posted on the lastest from this great saga.</p>

<p><img src='/wp-content/11085_1115_2.jpg' alt='11085_1115_2.jpg' class='normal' />recently i happened across the <a href='http://www.sxc.hu/'>stock.xchng</a>, a site containing thousands of free images. basically they are pictures, but they are broken up by category and they seem to be a bit better than just someone&#8217;s online photo gallery. my favorite category is the <a href='http://www.sxc.hu/browse.phtml?f=s&#38;c=1'>art and architecture</a> gallery, mostly because they are images from foreign countries. the server load has more than doubled in the month that i have been using this site.</p>

<p>today i started a new php project (for those of you keeping count, i haven&#8217;t exactly finished any of the others i have written about). this new project uses the <a href='http://apache.org'>apache</a> <a href='http://httpd.apache.org/docs-2.0/logs.html'>access_log</a> in combined format and <a href='http://php.net'>php</a> to find the stats for a given site. basically all i have done so far is write a few <a href='http://us2.php.net/manual/en/ref.regex.php'>regular expresssions</a>, but it is coming along pretty nicely. my inspiration for this project comes from <a href='http://awstats.sourceforge.net/'>awstats</a>. by writing the project in php, installation will be much easier if php is already installed. maybe i will actually finish this project.</p>

<p>in the mail yesterday i received a letter from <a href='http://www.graceland.edu'>graceland</a> asking for donations to the <i>new</i> science building. i haven&#8217;t even been graduated for six months and they want me to keep paying them! i guess they figured six months was enough time for me to make so much extra money that i had no idea what to do with. </p>

<p>apple just released a new <a href='http://www.apple.com/keyboard/'>wireless keyboard and mouse</a>. it sure seems expensive since you also have to provide a your own bluetooth support. <a href='http://www.microsoft.com/catalog/display.asp?subid=22&#38;site=11496'>microsoft&#8217;s combo</a> is a litte more expensive, but comes with the <a href='http://bluetooth.org'>bluetooth</a> connection. well, they are too expensive for me so i will stick with my <a href='http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm?page=products/details&#38;CRID=3&#38;CONTENTID=4988&#38;countryid=19&#38;languageid=1'>plain old usb optical mouse</a>.</p>

for a few months now i have been using netnewswire by ranchero. this rss news reader makes reading all of my blogs easier. rather than having to go to all of the different websites and read each one, this news reader downloads all of the entries (or at least the partial entry) and i can read them from one program. i know most people do not have a mac, but they make news readers for microsoft, as well.
